My family received some news earlier this month that we had been anxiously awaiting … the destination for my husband’s next work assignment.
Where are we going, you ask? Well, see if you can tell what all the pictures below have in common.
Think you got it? If you guessed that Tokyo had something to do with all of these shots, you’re right! They’re various scenes from around the Japanese capital … the city that is soon to be my new “hometown”!
Yes, after nearly 7 years in Japan, my family and I are lucky enough to be heading back to where it all began for us. Starting this summer, we’ll be spending one year in Tokyo and I can’t wait to return. Kyushu will always hold a special place in my heart and I will miss some things about southern Japan terribly, but being based in Tokyo means access to other regions and prefectures I have yet to set foot in. (I’m looking at you, Gunma and Niigata.)
The adventure continues! Thanks, as always, for following along!
hooray!
Fantastic news! (*^_^)v
Lucky you!
Thanks, all! I am so VERY excited.
This is exciting. We were in Tokyo during hot, muggy and rainy weather and still had a wonderful time. It is an awesome city.
